About Connection Screen

You can access the Connection screen by clicking Master Data > Connections.

Field Description
Origin The three-letter IATA code of the airport of departure. You can retrieve available airport codes from the database by clicking , entering search data in one or more of the fields presented, then clicking Search. Select the desired code from the search list, then click Retrieve. The selected code will then populate the field.
Note: Clicking Search when all presented fields are left blank produces a complete list of all data held.
By clicking the hyperlink, the system navigates you to the Airports screen.
Origin Zone Use the Origin Zone field to define the airport zone of departure where this connecting flight record is applicable. Use this field to combine several origin airports by using the origin zone. You can retrieve available airport zone codes from the database by clicking , entering search data in one or more of the fields presented, then clicking Search. Select the desired code from the search list, then click Retrieve. The selected code will then populate the field.
Note: Clicking Search when all presented fields are left blank produces a complete list of all data held.

Dest Zone Use the Dest Zone field to define the airport zone of departure where this connecting flight record is applicable. Issue Carrier The carrier code for which the connecting flight record is applicable. You can retrieve available carrier codes from the database by clicking , entering search data in one or more of the fields presented, then clicking Search. Select the desired code from the search list, then click Retrieve. The selected code will then populate the field.

By clicking the hyperlink, the system navigates you to the Carriers screen.
Priority Use the Priority field to indicate the importance or priority if there are several possible connections. The possible values are the following:
  • 1 - First priority
  • 2 - Second priority
From Date The effective date of the connecting flight record. For example, 01AUG14.
Until Date The termination date of the connecting flight record. For example, 31DEC2014.
Weekday Use the Weekday field to enter the day of the week the connecting flight record is applicable. The possible values are as follows:
  • 1234567 - Daily
  • 234 - Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday only
Weight Limit The weight limit for bookings made for the connecting flight record. For example: 1000.0 for a thousand kilograms.
Volume Limit The volume limit for bookings made for the connecting flight record. For example: 6.000 for six cubic meters.
Both Directions Select this check box if the connecting flight record is considered as a return flight. For example, FRA to LCA and LCA to FRA.
